How Do You Deal With South East Asia Heat? Crawling Out and Back Into Hell Heat- PP, Cambodia (part four)

Did you know we are just animals? We are. We’re hot, we get aggressive. We’re cooled down with food/drink which we consumed with unabashed frenzy, we’re calm. We’re such barbarians. What the hell are we doing in this heat!? And why are we buying the kids something that will take F-O-R-E-V-E-R in this God-forsaken heat! And at least I can discuss the meaning of life with my new guru in this exhausting heatwave! Do you know how this day has been unfolded? Take a peek. Part One: Stupefied State of Exhaustion Part Two:  Too Hot And Tired To Deal Part Three: Kobi And Sand Us Save Us From Burning In Hell   This reminds me of the infamous Miserable in Bangkok, ironically ten months earlier. Tell me you know understand the meaning of life from my little guru. Tell me you also cannot get your head around Kobi’s undying patience. Tell me you’re hot or cold or that you want an ice sand shake too. Strawberry is illegally delish!...

International Media from The Lady with Purple Hair- Austrian Television Debute

International Media from The Lady with Purple Hair- Austrian Television Debute

So we met this nice lady with purple hair. We were outside House For Ren. The ‘t’ got cut off when they put a window in for us, and the shack with no electricity or water, a  hole in the plank going straight to the sea, was home. That was our life on Koh Rong Island, Cambodia and we were doing the laundry. Yes, out of a bucket, and yes, all the soap and the rest went back to the ocean. Welcome to life with the locals. When in Rome, and so, trust me, there are no better sane alternatives. So, my point was that we met a woman with purple hair. I’ve tried to have purple hair, unsuccessfully. Twice. Here’s a video from Magdelena, Peru that shows a tiny bit of it still left in my hair, and here I look amazing. And then, there’s an entire Facebook album of me looking like Cruella DeVille from 101 Dalmations. I’m stubborn, which you already knew from How To Piss...

Cheese- The Original Video @The Led Zephyr, Sihanoukville, Cambodia

You may have noticed that we love making videos, and you may also have gleaned that we share the full range of emotional experiences that can be experienced when a family lives on the road. Some of our all-time favorites are the ones which we can watch over and over again, and laugh each time anew, like it was the first time. These aren’t the you-had-to-be-there type of funnies, but more the funny in the universal-joy-way that comes out of seeing hysterically happy people. We now have four ‘Cheese’ videos: two from The Led Zephyr in Cambodia, one at Pillows and Toast in Singapore, and the last at BackHome Hostel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. But this friends, this is the original. The one that started all of this, with super-stars and fun-loving sweethearts Alex and Tom, the two and only two. These childhood-friends-soul-brothers filled us with more laughing than we could contain. So, if you could use a little laugh, sit back and enjoy! We love you that much....

Inspirational Comments #2: Backpacker from Cambodia

It’s a new series and we just want to share the words of others who fill us with light. Some we’ve met and laughed and cried with, some we love online but have never had the joy of seeing face-to-face. We just want to share what recharges us with inspiration. Mwah! Gabi “It’s not as easy as it sounds to carve a meaningful long-term existence out of total freedom.” I love that part, and this blog in general. I’ve always said that what you do with your free time once you have nothing but, speaks volumes more than a lifetime working a 9 to 5. It takes a lot of courage and self confidence to be everything you’ve always wanted to be, and you guys make it look damn good. miss you!” Inspirational Comment #1: Rock Solid and Flow Like Water From the Yoga Teacher If you like what we do, help us keep it alive, please click Google+ and other sharing options on the little bookmark to your...
