Oh, the Places You’ll Go- Everywhere We’ve Been on the Globe- Amazing Photo Essay for this RTW Family Travel Blog

Oh, the Places You’ll Go- Everywhere We’ve Been on the Globe- Amazing Photo Essay for this RTW Family Travel Blog

The globe has been kind to us, protecting us, keeping it fun, and dusty, and raw, and real everywhere we go. And always, teaching us that we know nothing and 99 other things the world has taught me. We’re clearly been surrounded by love and joy and amazing friends scaling the globe. We’ve lived in five-star hotels and total dumps in our liquified homelessness. We pride ourselves for seeking out opportunities to live like a local and be perpetually barefoot. We’ve learned unreal lessons in this get-out-of-the-house-with-a-backpack-thing lifestyle. And so, without further ado, Oh, The Places You’ll Go- Everywhere this Family Travel Blog Bunch Has Been in pictures! Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away! You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go. You’ll look up and down streets. Look ’em over with care. About some you...

Your One-Stop-Shop Telenovela of Family Travel Blog Trekking Adventure Hell- Day 1- Annapurna Circuit with Kids, A Multi-Media Celebration

Your One-Stop-Shop Telenovela of Family Travel Blog Trekking Adventure Hell- Day 1- Annapurna Circuit with Kids, A Multi-Media Celebration

It is time to start sharing our Annapurna Circuit with Children experience. All of it, and not just the life-threatening parts including hypothermia, fever and an extreme case of lethargic child at 5,200 meters, vomit, diarrhea, and all those drop-to-your-death cliffs that left us so very shaken up as parents who made these decisions on behalf of their children. We’d want to give you all of it. The good, the bad, the ugly, the really funny, and the thoughtful. So, welcome to Day One! It’s a lovely collection of photography and video all reflecting what our first day on the trail was like. Highlights: Oh My God! We’re ridiculously out of shape, whimpy, and totally not ready for the physical and mental challenges before us. That will sort of be the ongoing theme, in addition, to tons of furry animals, unidentified shit of all shapes and sizes, break-downs, song, tons of laughter, some serious “God, why are we doing this thing again?” talks, and amazing vistas. It’s basically your...

Family Travel Luxury Pampering For the Whole Family- Rock Spa- Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Malaysia [Photo Essay]

Family Travel Luxury Pampering For the Whole Family- Rock Spa- Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Malaysia [Photo Essay]

Words simply cannot capture how blown away we were by Hard Rock Hotel Penang’s Rock Spa, run by their lovely manager Lenny. From the moment we arrived to the premise, we were treated like royalty and family, given the royal pampering of a lifetime, while still laughed with and talked to like dear old friends. As this was our first and only experience with a spa that caters to the entire family, we were simply delighted by our level of professional pampering, as well as the tender loving-kindness and professional kid-friendly attention and treatment our kids got. Since words can’t do it justice, I think I will allow the photos to try. (Of course I included funny captions to help you deal with the drool and jealousy you are about to experience. I’m nice that way.) If you are in Penang, Malaysia, Hard Rock Hotel is a must, and the Rock Spa is a double must. Enjoy the photos of this amazing staff, their care, and how much we’re...

Lost World of Tambun and Spa- One Amazing Family Attraction in Malaysia [Photo Essay] – Part One

Lost World of Tambun and Spa- One Amazing Family Attraction in Malaysia [Photo Essay] – Part One

Someone asked us the other day what they could do with their kids in Malaysia? Having spent three and a half months loving the people and frolicking in the beauty, attractions, restaurants, and joys of Malaysia, we feel we have a really good, long, detailed answer. And yet, one place our kids keep referring to is Lost World of Tambun. The park is amazing, the food was unreal, the spa was a true joy, and the history and cultural aspects of the park transformed ‘just another water/theme park’ into ‘a living breathing, well-rounded fun and educational family experience.’ We loved our days at the park and spent the remaining two months in Malaysia having the kids beg us to go back. 🙂 So, without further ado, enjoy our little photo essay of part one of ecstatic fun at The Lost World of Tambun and Spa.                                             And that...
