Five Reasons To Move To the Philippines Right Now- Panagsama Beach, Moalboal, Philippines

Five Reasons To Move To the Philippines Right Now- Panagsama Beach, Moalboal, Philippines

We always say, “This time we won’t fall in love,” or “This time we won’t leave a chunk of our hearts behind,” and, again, we know we’re just lying. No matter how much I study Buddhism’s renunciation, and no matter how much practice we all get in saying goodbye, it still always sideswipes us, and out of nowhere, we feel that ‘gotcha again’ familiar pang of our hearts sighing really deeply. Yes, it is better. Measurably so. The depth, length, and intensity of that heart-pinch is less. We have grown and learned how to fall in love and move on, and now, we do more appreciate and feel joy than anything else. We’re not sure we’re ready to admit it but yes, here we go… we all believe that just maybe, possibly, there is that little chance that life in Panagsama Beach, Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines has been our very best home yet. Ali From Scotland- Koh Rong Dive Center- Scuba Divings for Kids in Cambodia- Nomadic Family World Travel Blog, Budget World Travel w/Kids, Southeast Asia

You will smile when you watch this video. Why? A- Cuz we’re blowing in The Gulf of Thailand breeze and it’s lovely. C-  Cuz Ali is one of the rare precious souls who actually follows instructions and when I told her, “you look at the camera” she did and I could hug her for being so literal and precise and adorable. We loved living on Koh Rong Island (Facebook album) . Because our unreal experiences in the water (cool underwater video of Kobi) and out with the Koh Rong Dive Center staff was nothing less than life-changing, we’re working on going back to work there for another two months of tropical island paradise. We’ll let you know as soon as we...

I Hate This Home, And That One, And This One- Coco Bungalows (Koh Rong Island, Cambodia)

I hate this one, and that one, and that one- really I do, I do, I potentially hate them all. You see  right now I’m feeling the Koh Rong Island evening breeze at the front patio of my home at the Coco Bungalow, last week we were loving the live music at The Led Zephyr but, home keeps changing and it’s pretty much irrelevant where we’ll be next month, I’ll very possibly hate it anyway. I know that sounds confusing, pessimistic, bitchy, and really wrong…. “Gabi, you’re about to enter year three of globetrotting, you’re living the ultimate dream, and all you can do is complain? Is that the best answer you’ve got to ‘what does home mean to you’ Gabi? Is it possible for you to be so selfish, self-centered, and dissatisfied? ” Yes, and no, and yes. Let me explain. This one is a bit complicated, but we can walk through it together, IF, if, if you stop judging me long enough to just hear me out....
