Running to Bomb Shelter- Sirens in Kibbutz Hanita, Northern Galilee, Israel- July 12, 2014

Running to Bomb Shelter- Sirens in Kibbutz Hanita, Northern Galilee, Israel- July 12, 2014

Fuck. I was scared. We all were. Even though we had done this before in our past, this caught us all off-guard and shook us more than a little bit.

Not pretty. Not fun. After 38 1/2 months on the road, sixteen countries, and knowing nothing; it’s not the homecoming we imagined. But it’s not about us and what we wanted at all. It’s about governments and agendas and stuff way over our heads, and we just gotta roll with That Which Is until this too shall pass.

A few updates that led up to tonight’s bomb shelter run video and then what I caught on tape as the sirens went off and we dealt with the reality that currently just is what it is in Israel.

How Badly Do You Want This?

Documentary film crew members are meant to arrive in Israel staring Tuesday, July 15th but will they? Would you? The Nomadic Family Project film crew Angela Tabora, Noah Cooper, and Erin Lim have been beyond amazing and dedicated to bringing our insane story to the world. They suffered through the Annapurna Circuit with us and now want to document our entire acclimation back home.

Boy have we got some surprise acclimations for you loves! There is a war going on.

Angela Tabora chatted with us the other night. “Should I bring good running shoes?” she asked.

Kobi’s answer: A good helmet would be wise.

Angela should be landing Tuesday, July 15th IF THEY DON’T CLOSE THE AIRPORT and if she’s ready. The rest of the crew plan to come out in mid-August if they raise enough money for all of those expenses. If you’d like to help these lunatics bring this documentary movie to the full light it deserves SHARE, LOVES, SHARE!

About the Author:

Insanely unorthodox, embarrassingly honest, and on her path towards spiritual awareness, Gabi Klaf blogs about her family’s ups and downs in their now third year of non-stop budget world travel. This family of five has lived with an indigenous tribe in the jungles of Ecuador, hitchhiked throughout the world, danced with drunk Vietnamese at weddings, and hiked the entire Annapurna Circuit trek where a film crew accompanied them for the documentary movie about how The Nomadic Family is redefining modern family life. They are now spending six months in Goa, India. Gabi writes about the untold sides of family travel life, those moments that take your breath away, adventures and mishaps while globetrotting, and how bits of her soul remain in this small town and off the side of that river. She is a guitar-stumming, energy-healing, ADHD wind-loving scaredy cat. Hugely romantic, tantalizingly sweet, and hysterically funny, Gabi Klaf represents a rare Rubik’s Cube of family world adventure.
