2012 Best Travel Blog Award Finalists Need A Bit Of Help To Win- The Nomadic Family World Travel Blog, Budget Travel With Kids
I love it when I win! I used to be one of those people who said, “I never win anything,” but, back then, I didn’t know how to recognize all the gifts the Universe was bringing me every day. Today, I know there are angels in my life, and guardians, and very nice other normal people who bring me gifts. And, I win and have won so much: a 28-pound lighter body, a partner of 19 years who likes me (most of the time) and who I’m still madly in love with, three nice kids who, when they listen to me, I enjoy being around. Oh, yeah, and other random small winnings like my family about to enter year three of non-stop budget world travel. So, yes, I’ve won tons, even if I didn’t rig this little contest to gain fame and fortune, I’ve won.
Those of you who know and love me understand that my modus operandi ( I had to look up how to spell that, and it still doesn’t sound right, oh well) is relaxed. You see I suffer from acute self-diagnosed ADHD, homeschooling my kids, working online, trying to finish up half a dozen projects at a time, exercising, and still spending tons of my time exploring the world and taking hour-long lunches with my family. And, you can’t underestimate the amount of time delegated to fighting, freaking out, yelling at the kids, and other hand-made dramas and emotional roller coasters. So, things just sort of happen when they happen, and thus, on this cool, crisp sunny day in Dalat, Vietnam, I decided to tally up the votes of the 2012 Best Travel Blog Award Contest. And boy am I proud of myself. I stayed on task all day long. Of course, I yelled and threatened a bit more than usual today (not a proud statement but a true one nonetheless). I ate too much bread and stuffed other reachable items into my mouth to stay on task but dah, dah, dah the final voting is in, and we’re not done.
What? Why? Cuz I didn’t device a fair system for runner-ups. This is the first contest I’ve ever run and, gosh golly, I didn’t look far ahead enough to realize that I may have too many contestants with a tie. So, I’m working it out now, and as fairly as I can. Here’s what I’ve come up with…

step three: open that widget or sidebar tool and past the coding.
if it is too big, you will see in the end of that paragraph of coding size measurements. make them smaller, maybe 150x 150 and refresh or save your settings.
watch and play with the sizes until you find one that works for you. if you need any other help, please, please tell me. i am thrilled to a- help and b- actually help someone with something techno. for FB, just copy the coding into a ‘status’ update and add any text you want asking people to vote for you starting jan 27th. you can start hyping people now.

heidi, i have so much more to say about our diving… and i love the daily thing too. i love it, you being a part of my life now. i do. we dove with koh rong dive center and loved it so much for us and for the kids that we are now going back for two months to dive more, to get the kids certified in open water, and to get kobi to dive master. they are amazing. you can see albums of them in facebook and interviews on the site. search koh rong in both. i’ll be putting up more with time. they are amazing. as are you!
